Spring / Summer Anime Lineup (2016): Part 3

Well you lucky peeps here is another post in showing the shows that will be airing this Spring / Summer. Personally, Sailor moon is the one to watch for me. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the two seasons of sailor moon crystal. In the UK, the outer senshi’ (or for that matter phantom 9 arc) never made their showing. So it will be interesting. As usual leave your comments, like down below.

Sailor Moon Crystal: Death Busters – Hen

Studio: Toei Animation | Director: Kon, Chiaki | Air date: 00/00/20XX

Trailer link: N/A

Synopsis: Third cour of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal.

The new season will assemble all 10 Senshi — specifically, the popular outer Senshi such as Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Saturn will join Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibi Moon, and the others. The new season will adapt the arc from the fifth and sixth volumes of the complete edition of Naoko Takeuchi’s original Sailor Moon manga.

Boku no Hero Academia

Studio: Bones | Director: Nagasaki, Kenji | Air date: 00/00/20XX

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhqVltWDqFA

Synopsis: What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested extraordinary superpowers called “Quirks” at age four? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Becoming a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? U.A. High’s Hero Program of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all gives him a chance to change his destiny.

  1. It’s nice they made some personnel changes for Season 3 of Crystal, but I wish the head writer had been canned. I really did not care for S1-2, and I am a huge Moonie. The trailer has me cautiously optimistic.

    1. S1-2 didn’t tickle every ones fancy and that’ understandable. But yeah with the new head writer it will be interesting to see what direction they take it in. Will have to check out the trailer and even add it to the post : D.

      1. The director is new; the head writer is not. He’s responsible for some of the worst episodes of the first two seasons. The other writer was better. Wish she was the head one.

  2. Most people I know have panned the new Sailor Moon, but I guess it has an audience if it has lasted for a third season. I wonder how many more superhero shows we will get after the popularity of One Punch Man.

    1. TBF, they’re pretty much panning it on nostalgia. Sure the old series had its charm, but it was a product for its time. With the new series being more oriented towards the female demographics as it follows the manga more closely. Good question, about the super heroes one.

      1. I haven’t watched One-Punch Man yet but I have been reading the manga. It’s pretty funny. Unlike One-Punch Man, My Hero Academia will most likely focus on action like Naruto.
